Advice and information

Veterans UK

Veterans UK is working hard to protect both its staff and veterans during the Covid 19 pandemic, but they're very much still open for business.  Because its staff are having to work from home, there are some service changes:

  • Veterans UK is prioritising ensuring everyone receives the monthly pension and compensation scheme payments into their accounts as expected.  Everyone will receive their payments.
  • Whilst its helpline can’t currently take calls, an email enquiry service, via Veterans-UK@mod.gov.uk, is being provided via remote working to answer veterans’ questions on a daily basis and provide call-backs when needed. Callers to the helpline can also now listen to recorded service information on 0808 1914 218.
  • All requests for welfare support are being met, the same day where possible and all planned Veterans Welfare Service and Defence Transition Services contact with clients is being maintained (using alternatives to face-to-face visits of course).  Welfare advice, information and support is available by emailing your local Veterans Welfare Centre for West Midlands & West Mercia at  Veterans-UK-VWS-Wales-Mid@mod.gov.uk with your name, national insurance or reference number and contact details and we will be in touch as quickly as we can.
